Happy Labor Day! I can always get behind any day that allows me to labor at home instead of at work! Three day weekends always have me longing for part time work. I feel like I get so much more accomplished at home and extra time with the girls is something I'll never tire of. Since that is just a dream for now, I try to savor every last bite when I get the chance to taste it!
Elle had a Grammy and Pap sleepover last night so I got to spend several hours with sweet baby Wren today. It's so fun watching her grown and change. Today she found Elle's little trampoline, she climbed right up, grabbed on the bar and started jumping around. Of course her feet never left the mat, and her jump looked more like a wiggly dance, but she was having the time of her life. I could have watched her do that forever! 1 year olds don't have too long of an attention span, so that fun lasted all of about 1 minute!
When Elle got back today, I wanted to do something special with her. We had a few bananas lying around so I thought I'd make some banana bread. Elle loves to help cook, so she was super excited to help mix everything up. At one point she told me she was "the greatest mixer!" Cooking with a little helper is never as easy as doing it yourself, but seeing how excited she gets makes the mess a little more tolerable! Thank you for a sweet day today my loves, I'll miss you tomorrow while I'm away.
And a little ride on the "school bus," by Grammy the bus driver while we wait for our bread. Wren cracks me up in this one.
